DailyFX is fxcm's forex news website that caters to fundamental traders. Unlike forex factory, they serve the needs of primarily fundamental forex traders. DailyFX is the largest most popular forex portal on the internet outranking fxstreet in the internet standings. Their forum sees a lot of posts and activity as well.
However, we feel that forex factory's forum still trumps the one found on dailyfx due to the quality of the posts found. That is not to say that the Dailyfx forum is bad, far from it. It just doesn't offer the breadth of forex factory.
Dailyfx has gone mobile for forex trading enthusiasts that are always on the move. An added convenience the the addition of forex alerts to your mobile device. This service is free.
Dailyfx also has a number of forex intructors that provide traders with free signals should they want to trade via forex singals. Their forex news calendar is simple enough to use. It follows the format found at forex factory and we are unsure as to who came out with that template first. Otherwise, they are almost identical. Dailyfx calendar uses "low", "medium" and "high" instead of color codes like forex factory does. However, we still prefer forex factory's calendar over dailyfx's simply because it is clearer at a glance.
There are two languages available for browsers, Chinese and Spanish. Which is a welcome addition as it appeals to international customers.
If there is any one area that Dailyfx has over other forex portals, it is the number of forex trading analysts, instructors and opinion blogs that it has. As such, their daily reports are outstanding with comprehensive breakdowns on event that have passed or yet to come. They are seen from the eyes of the analyst so the report may be technical or fundamental analysis heavy which is good as it gives visitors options. And options are always good.
Dailyfx offers a number of free curency charts which include charts by Strategy Runner, Stratagem, Marketscope, FXTrek, Netdania and Powercharts. They are divided on ease of use with Netdania and powercharts being the easiest to use while Stratagem and Strategy Runner being experts only. Very useful considering they're a free resource for visitors from Malaysia to use.
